3/4 lb ground beef ½ large onion, chopped 4 cloves of garlic, minced 1/8 cup of olive oil 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce 1 (6 oz )can tomato paste ½ cup Cline Zinfandel ½ cup water 1 ½ Tbsp chili powder 1 tsp of salt 1 (15 oz) can of black beans, drained ¾ tsp freshly ground black pepper 1 tsp red pepper flakes ½ cup mushrooms, chopped 2 large fresh roma tomatoes, chopped 1 tsp garlic powder ¾ tsp of oregano
Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Add onion, garlic powder, and ground beef, and sauté for 3-4 minutes or until meat browns a bit. In a saucepan, combine, garlic, tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, Zinfandel, water, ground black pepper, red pepper flakes, chili powder, salt, mushroom, beef, onion, and bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium low for about 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Add beans, and fresh tomatoes, simmer for 8 minutes. Enjoy with a glass of Cline Zinfandel.
