PF Changs BBQ Sauce

P.F. Chang’s R & D Chef Robin Stotter created this simple yet addictively delicious sauce, which is sure to become a staple in your kitchen. This versatile sauce can be used for dipping, grilling or as a marinade and tastes great on seafood, beef or chicken. To surprise your guests with an unexpected pairing, Chef Stotter suggests serving Grilled Scallops with Chang’s BBQ Sauce and a glass of Cline Ancient Vines Zinfandel. Delicious!


1 tsp Ginger minced
1 tsp Garlic minced
2 tsp Five Spice Powder
1 tsp Ground Star Anise
1½ c Sugar
3 c Heinz® Ketchup
2.5 oz Kikkoman Soy Sauce
1.5 oz Hoisen Sauce
2 oz Junmai Ginjo Saké
2 oz Water

In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients and whisk well until the sugar is dissolved. Makes 1 quart.
